In WA, we use more than 1.3 billion eligible drink containers each year; enough drink containers to line a path from Perth to Broome.

How It Works

Whether you’re wanting to earn a bit of extra cash, raise money for your local sports club or even donate to your favourite charity, you can earn 10-cents for every eligible drink container collected for the Containers for Change program. Eligible containers include most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard beverage containers which are typically consumed outside the home.
- Collect eligible containers
- Return your containers to a depot, reverse vending machine, pop up refund point or via contactless bag drop
- Earn a refund or donate the funds to charity’

What We Do

The market of recycled materials is greatly influenced by their quality. Properly-sorted recycled materials that are free from contamination hold a significantly higher market value.

Recent reports estimate that Australia could be missing out on up to $324 million of value that could be extracted from the waste in our kerbside bins each year. Instead of 'waste' we need consumers to see a tradable asset, a commodity with a market value.
